Redwork ...
As the name actually explains itself, a stem stitch is usually embroidered with red thread.
This old handicraft technique can be interpreted in a very modern way.
Due to the fine structure, the whole embroidery looks a bit more raised and thus three-dimensional.
This turns every card into a small work of art.
Here Christmas cards were made from fan paper.
Of course, the whole thing is also traditionally beaded on fabric. (see below)
To do this, simply clamp the tear-off fleece in the frame, put paper on top and set or glue with crepe, embroider motifs and, before the last step, attach a construction paper to the back and embroider the frame.
Take everything out of the frame and cut off the outer line / lockstitch seam with a cutter
But you can also try something new.
Look forward to various design options and new embroidery motifs.
You don't dare to embroider on paper?
No problem .. just embroider your motif on fabric (e.g. linen or felt)
and before the last step, simply place a card cut a bit smaller than DIN A6 on the back and then put the last layer of fabric on top. Then the fabric is embroidered and cut out with the zigzag scissors.
